"Promise me you'll always remember. You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
-Christopher Robin to Pooh
Confidence, it is something that all of us need and have. Some of us have bigger amounts and others don't. We need it in order to succeed.
Right now we are working on building up our oldest child's confidence. His current struggle seem to revovle around a math timed test. We have been working on the time issue at home and getting extra practice knowing that the "timed" part of it not a big deal. He is however, battling his inner competator who wants to win. Each time he practices, he gets a little farther. Each practice he gains a little more confindence. This journey hasn't be an easy road for him. Last week he came home and told me, "Mom, my heart was beeping so fast, I was on the last row and I still had time to go!" I am so proud of him. He has been looking his fears in the eye and trying even harder to get past them. At the end of the week he pasted his timed test. We celebrated with him by getting ice cream.
I'm linking up to Maaret this month.
