Home

We are home after spending 4 weeks at my mom's house.
The time actually sort of flew right by. There was plenty of activity to keep the kids and I busy. The weather was nice for Minnesota standards. But to us Alaskans it was HOT!
It really was nice to be there instead of here while Ryan was out of town.
I was pretty reluctant to go because I was so down. But my friends and family convinced us to go. I am very thankful that they did. I was able to keep my sanity and able to find my sense of humor again.

We were able to attend my sister's high school graduation.
Bask in the sun.
Play.
Explore.
Visit family and friends.
But with every trip, it has to come to an end.
I was ready to come home.
I'm ready to sort through my mail. The post office actually let me bring the basket my mail was collecting in home. I will return it today.
I'm ready  to clean this house.
I'm ready to go through all the pictures I took. This morning I moved 1500+ photos onto the computer from our trip. Whew! Knew I take a lot of pictures but really, 18mb of full memory cards?
I'm ready to find a routine. One that hopefully includes a regular bed time.
I'm ready to sleep through the night again. And I'm sure my family is too.
I'm ready to putter on our yard.
But most of all I'm ready to for us to be a family unit again and make this house our home.

May- Shades of Light
I know these are almost 2 months late, right?
I found it hard to try blog on someone else's computer while out of state.
So I figured better late than never.

1st sink bath

Using June's kit from Paper Lovelies I knew right away that I needed to scrapbook these pictures of Evelynn in the sink. Love how it turned out! I completed my layout by journaling around the outer edge of my pattern paper.

I am very fortunate to know Carrie. She is an amazing woman! She has a great love for paper crafting and sharing with you wonderful kits each month for a low cost. Since shipping rates and costs from the manufactures has increased she was debating about closing her doors completely. I can not tell you how excited I am to know that Paper Lovelies will still be able to remain open, selling their wonderful scrapbooking kits each month thru Facebook. So what do you need to do to make sure you don't miss out on these awesome kits? Head over to Facebook and 'like' their page. You can also watch for my work here on the 1st of every month along with a blog hop to each design team members blog to see their work also. How fun is that?
