35:52 The table at mealtime

Come and get it.
Most school nights we eat supper without Ryan.
As much as I'd love to, it's too hard to eat a later meal with the kids going to bed so early.
We are working on our goal to have him home and eating as a family unit.
I have to admit, the hours surrounding dinner can be a challenge.
Dad's presence always seems to keep the kids at the table until they are done eating.
Hard for me to keep control, as I'm feeding the baby in the living room.
Makes me shutter to think winter isn't too many months away.
I guess the positive is, dad will be home eating supper with us.

Now head over to see what's on Anita's table.

Have a safe weekend!!

34:52 Worth A Thousand Words

33:52 Inspiring

Oh boy, this was a hard one.
I thought and thought about what is inspiring to me...
I started mentally brainstorming.
My family and friends are inspiring, but that didn't feel right.
My crafty hobbies are inspiring, but that didn't feel right either.
So, the other night while the kids and I were picking raspberries, it hit me.
Nature.
It's always there.
It changes depending on where you are located.
It changes with each season.
But what I love most and probably why I am so inspired by nature is,
we both may be looking the same direction,
but we see two totally different views.
Head over Anita's way and see what is inspiring her.

Have a great weekend!

32:52 Clouds

Heavy hearts, like heavy clouds in the sky
are best relieved by the letting of a little water.

We are remembering Aunt Selma this week.
We will miss her smile, her laugh and her funny jokes.
We will miss her dearly!
So glad we have all the happy memories to remember her by.

31:52 Travel

Do not follow where the path may lead.
Go instead where there
is no path and leave a trail.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

When I was first married I didn't enjoy hiking and didn't think I ever would.

I now can say that I have come to enjoy hiking.
Last year I was able to go hunting with Ryan.
I think I now know why he enjoys hunting so much.
I have to admit, I don't know if I am much of a hunter.
I'd rather shoot nature through the lens of a camera.
I'll leave the critter shooting to him.
As with any journey,
who we travel with
can be more important
than your destination.
