26:52 Father

This boy,
is lucky to have a father that,
teaches him to climb trees.
(Even if he teased me by pretending to fall.)
This boy is lucky to have a father who teaches him,
how to shoot a pellet gun.
I sure am thankful that boys have fathers to teach how to be boys!

Oh, and don't forget to have a great weekend!

25:52 Silhouette

I have been enjoying our weather now that summer feels like it's here.
The laundry sure drys fast on the line.
We've been to the beach and the park multiple times.
We've been eating meals outside and roasting s'mores.
The kids can spend the majority of their day outside.
Even with those vicious mosquito's!
They're covered with bites and scabs from head to toe.
Today my baby is 4 weeks old!
I can't believe it, time is just flying by.

Continue around the circle to Maaret's blog.
Have a great weekend.

24:52 Stranger

For those of that you know me personally are probably thinking, wait, that's not a stranger.
Your right, it's not. All week I've had it tucked in the back of my mind that this week's photo prompt is 'stranger'. It felt weird to intentionally go out looking for someone to snap a picture of.

So, are you still wondering how on earth my husband can justify as a stranger?
Well, he really isn't. It's just lately he sort of feels like a stranger.

Since we started our own business, at the beginning of the year, he has been super busy with work. We are super thankful to have work and at times I have to remind myself of this blessing. We knew that the first few years of work wouldn't be easy. They would have a lot of time invested into getting out and building a name for ourselves. The only down fall is that life feels like it's been a lot business talk lately. Not only does Ryan work long days, when he comes home we talk more business talk. What job got completed. Which job still needs supplies. Where the excavator is getting moved next. Who is moving it. When we'll find the time to fix the ac on the excavator.
So, as much as I would like force ourselves to take time off and book a room for our family this weekend in Seward, work has won again. I really look forward to Sunday's! A great day to stop and spend time as a family unit.

23:52 Details

Yes, last week I was missing in action. I'm sure I could have found some sort of photo for you but felt like I still had baby brain going on.

Two weeks ago we welcomed our little Anne. We hauled our camera and phones with us to the hospital. We were able to for the first time send pictures of our sweet little girl to our parents and family. It made those miles feel a wee bit less.
I'm not always good with relying on my memory or recording details with pen and paper. I have found that I'm best with the camera being my memory.
I wanted to capture details from the hospital that often get forgotten.
My IV this time when in on the first poke! The hospital had my blood work orders on file this time, and we didn't get delayed because my blood needed to get redrawn. We had a repeat nurse, she was awesome! We ordered Moose's Tooth pizza, to go, for lunch before heading home. And we can't forget that we took the truck in. The climb in wasn't as bad as I imagined. But not the most enjoyable ride home.
We have been resting and adjusting our schedule to diaper changes and a hungry little one. Our weather finally feels a little more like summer. And all the kids are home as of yesterday.

Head over to Maaret's Blog to see what kind of details she has recorded.

And make sure to have a great weekend!
